I am
waiting for my love to come home
No longer on heat
Just calmly waiting
To see him and feel the love
He will enter, pale gold
Light and tingling
Though drenched with sweat and angry with restless sleep
Scratching at his ears
I will offer him my self
My arms, warmth and lips
And he may feel as he pleases
And we are purple love
Citrus rain-showers and needle passion
May rest as musky paddocks and pets
And we are how we are
And this is our love
Like tides, our love drifts
And changes
The staying together
Is what makes love grow
I am waiting for my sweet to come home
I will love him
However he is
Now
Now is the foundation
